چکیده

Abstract Establishment and maintenance of pregnancy is a central concern to the cattle industry, as it strongly impacts efficiency profitability beef cow-calf operations. The objective this study was determine if nutrient restriction ovulatory follicle size corpus luteum (CL) volume Angus cows enrolled in estrous synchronization. A total 26 were housed at Virginia Tech – Shenandoah Valley Agricultural Research Education Center (SVAREC) equipped with Calan gate system for individual animal intake, stratified by body weight (BW) randomly assigned one two treatments: 1) diet that provided 100% requirements (MTN; n = 13) or 2) providing 70% (REST; 13). Nutrient calculated adjusted weekly based on BW using 2016 NRC version Beef Cattle Requirements Model Software. underwent an acclimation period of4 days exposed nutritional treatments 30 before Body measured daily automated scale, conventional livestock scale beginning end experiment. Follicle growth, corpus luteum function and their effects on embryo development in postpartum dairy cows.

Absent or irregular ovarian cycles in lactating dairy cows are caused by failure to ovulate the dominant follicle at the appropriate time. The follicle then either regresses or develops into a cyst. This process can be triggered by a variety of metabolic and disease factors that act at the hypothalamus and pituitary gland to inhibit pulsatile LH secretion and the LH surge, and at the ovary to r...

Rupture of Graafian Follicle and Corpus Luteum Cyst Simulating Appendicitis

It is now generally recognized that symptoms simulating those of appendicitis may develop following rupture of a Graafian follide, or as a result of hemorrhage from a corpus luteum or a corpus luteum cyst. During the past few years a sufficient number of cases of this disorder have been reported to indicate its prevalence and to establish it as a definite dinical entity. Although in general the...

BNIP3 expression in bovine follicle and corpus luteum

BNIP3 (BCL2/adenovirus E1B nineteen kilodalton interacting protein-3), a member of the BCL2 family, is activated under hypoxic conditions and induces apoptosis or mitochondrial autophagy for adapting cells to hypoxia. The physiological roles of BNIP3 in the mammalian ovary are still unclear. In order to understand the role of BNIP3 in the bovine ovary, we examined its mRNA and protein expressio...

Corpus luteum development and its morphology after aspiration of a preovulatory follicle is related to size and steroid content of the follicle in dairy cows

Secretion of adequate levels of progesterone from a proper corpus luteum (CL), which develops out of the cells of a healthy preovulatory follicle, is a key-factor for establishment of a pregnancy. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between morphological and secretory characteristics of preovulatory follicles and their corresponding corpus luteum with regard to the post-pa...

Ovulatory response of different GnRH analogues and subsequent corpus luteum lifespan in the presence of norgestomet in Holstein heifers

This study investigated the effect of GnRH analogues on inducing ovulation of dominant follicle (DF)and subsequent corpus luteum (CL) lifespan in the presence of norgestomet implant in Holstein heifers. Onday 6 to 8 of the estrous cycle (day 0 of the experiment), all heifers (n=15) received norgestomet implantfollowed by prostaglandin injection on days 0 and 1. On day 4, group 1 (n=4) and 2 (n=...
